Comfortable and secure

LinkBuds S combines a shape that perfectly matches the human ear with an ergonomic design for a more stable fit. We’ve designed LinkBuds S utilising extensive ear shape data collated since introducing the world’s first in-ear headphones in 1982, as well as evaluation of the sensitivity of various types of ears to ensure an ideal shape that is comfortable for many people.

Transparent ambient sound or high quality noise cancelling

These earbuds give you the best of both worlds - Sony's best transparent ambient sound in truly wireless headphones[FN|As of May 9th 2022. Excluding Open style.] when you want to interact with your world, high quality noise cancelling when you need to focus. LinkBuds S automatically switches between Ambient Sound Mode and noise cancelling depending on where you are and what you're doing.

Adjusts ambient sound to whatever you do for all-day wearing

Adaptive Sound Control is a smart function that senses where you are and what you’re doing, then adjusts ambient sound settings for the ideal listening experience. Over time, it learns your behaviour and recognises locations that you frequently visit, such as your workplace or a favourite café, and tailors sound to suit the situation.

Talk and hear only ambient sound

You can set Speak-to-Chat to automatically pause the music as soon as you speak to someone, so you can hear just ambient sound and conduct a conversation – handy if you want to keep your headphones on or your hands are full. And once your chat is over, your music starts playing again automatically.[FN|In rare cases, Speak-to-Chat may unintentionally start up in response to vibrations caused by devices such as electric toothbrushes, electric massagers and electric shavers, and activities such as brushing teeth, coughing or humming.][FN|Set the function to “ON” from the Sony | Sound Connect app. To deactivate Speak-to-Chat and return to your music immediately, tap either the left or right touch panel. Parts of the body and case of LinkBuds S in Earth Blue are made from factory-recovered plastic and reclaimed water bottles[FN|The type of water bottles are water dispensers.], in addition to recycled plastic materials from automobile parts. This gives them their characteristic marble pattern. Inevitable variations in the marble pattern mean that no two pairs of LinkBuds S in Earth Blue are quite the same.

Every pair helps the ‘Protect our Oceans’ project

Not only are we cutting the amount of virgin plastic used, but also the amount of $2 USD of the sales price of each unit sold will be donated to support Conservation International's ocean conservation activities. This means every purchase will protect nearly 58,824 square metres of ocean, an area equivalent to about 47 Olympic-sized swimming pools.[FN|This fundraising initiative with Conservation International is applicable to sales in Japan and Europe.][FN|Based on Conservation International’s calculations. $34 is the average cost of resources needed to ensure one sq. km of ocean is protected.]

Multipoint connection
